My Name is Garrick, and I am a Designer/Developer

I have been actively designing websites since 2005. It all started shortly after my engagement to my beautiful wife. I wanted a website for friends and family to see photos, videos, the location, the menu, rsvp, etc.... Once I dove head first in to it I quickly fell in love with the whole process and became passionate about learning HTML and CSS. I have expanded my horizons and have since learned PHP and MySQL. I would like to become more proficient in PHP before moving on to my next learning adventure, Ruby on Rails.

Experience

Mesa Public Schools

I have been employed by Mesa Public Schools, the largest school district in the state of AZ, for the last three years. I recently applied for a Web Programming position within the district and I am extremely excited about the opportunity. The web guy that is currently there is extremely talented and it would be a great honor to work with him.

Cox Communications AZ

Over the past year, I have been freelancing for Cox Communicaitons AZ. I currently work on four of their websites and it's been such a great experience working with them. There has been a wide range of work they send me it's always challenge me. One of my most recent projects was a Lead Tracking system. Call me crazy, but that was a lot of fun. I learned a lot in the process as well. I recently just picked up Cox Communications CA & NV as well and I just built a complete site for a referral program in CA.

Dircks.com

Dircks is the largest moving company in the Phoenix, AZ area. They contacted me requesting a Lottery system they could use at conventions, as well as for marketing purposes. They wanted an admin backend where they could enter specific winning numbers, as well as the prize for that number. Of course, they also needed a form for their customers to enter their ticket numbers and see if they were winners. If they were winners, it would display a congratulations message and tell them what prize they won. This was another good learning experience for me as well. The script worked great and they were extremely happy with it.

Custom Webdeisgn $35/hr This will be quoted on a per project basis. To request a quote please fill out the contact form above!

Every Custom Design includes:
    - Photoshop Mockup
    - CSS Styling
    - Contact Forms
    - Icons

This does not include the following:
    - Stock Images
    - Flash Design
Website Maintenance $25/hr This does not include any changes to design elements.
We can also quote you on a monthly basis, this may be more financially beneficial to you depending on the amount of changes your site may have.
CMS Merge (Content Management System) $45/hr This includes the following:
    - Merging existing site layout(s) with the CMS for up to 3 page payouts.     - Building contact form only if one exists on the current site.     - Implementing any Flash banners, only if they exist on the current site.

For an additional charge I can provide training on how to use the CMS. There is a significant advantage to having your site built around a CMS. The most significant advantage is saving money. You will not need to hire a web designer/developer to simply add content to your site. You can make those changes your self.
